What’s a book release without a party? Since my new book, Backroads and Byways of Hawaii, is hitting the shelves on NOVEMBER 2, 2013, I’ve scheduled a slew of events to celebrate!
Come share the aloha at any of these listed events. For more information on upcoming readings and appearances, check out my Events page.
October 23, 2013: Come join David Farley, Diane LeBow and me at Weekday Wanderlust, San Francisco’s travel writers’ salon. I’ll be reading a piece about Hawaii and giving away a couple free books. The reading is at Hotel Rex in San Francisco and starts promptly at 7pm.
November 3, 2013: This looks to be the biggest of the celebrations so far. Badger Books in San Francisco has agreed to host the party. Pacific Catch is donating pupus. We’ll have Hawaiian music and hopefully a performance by a hula halau. And of course, I’ll be offering free travel advice and signing books. The party starts at 4pm–though this is the day we change the clocks, so don’t show up early and wonder where the party is.
November 17, 2013: I can’t celebrate Hawaii and not include the South Bay. McGill Teak in Los Gatos is celebrating a life lived outdoors from 3-5pm. They’ve invited me to read, sign books, and offer free travel advice. I’m bringing along a couple hula dancers and musicians. There will be food, discounts on patio furniture and more.
November 24, 2013: My favorite travel bookstore in the world, Traveler’s Bookcase, has invited me back to LA to read, sign books and celebrate all things Hawaii. We’ll have a live hula performance from the amazing Coralissa Delaforce as well as live music and food. The party starts at 4pm and the venue is quite small so get there early.
Check my events page for Maui parties in December.
Looking forward to sharing the aloha with you all.
